Documentation
Practical guides for recording, reviewing, finding, and sharing your meeting notes.
Start with one meeting
Set up Summit and record your first meeting. Choose your audio sources, download a speech model, and decide how to generate summaries. Speech recognition and AI summaries have separate settings.
Choose a workflow
- Record a call or import an existing recording, then review the transcript and identify speakers.
- Prepare for calendar meetings and set recording preferences.
- Add screenshots or screen video and split a long recording into separate notes.
- Find a decision or the moment it was discussed, then ask questions across your meetings.
- Export notes to Markdown or another app, or bring iPhone recordings to your Mac with iCloud.
- Dictate into another app with Voice Keyboard.
Keep processing local
Use built-in speech recognition and local AI models for on-device processing after the models download. A remote AI provider receives the text used for its task. iCloud sync, exports, and MCP access are separate choices. Compare AI configurations and their data flows before connecting a provider.
