Summit for Finance Professionals

Client meeting notes for financial advisors, kept on your Mac

Reviews, planning sessions and discovery calls each need a clear record you can come back to. Summit turns recorded conversations into transcripts and summaries on your Mac, with folders to organize clients and search to revisit what was discussed.

You choose where client conversations are processed

Transcription runs on your Mac, and there is no Summit account holding your meeting library. Select Local Models and summaries and chat run on your Mac too. If you choose a cloud AI provider, it receives transcript excerpts and, for chat, your question with related topics, action items and meeting titles and dates, so review that setting before recording client conversations. Markdown auto-export and iCloud sync are off until you turn them on.

Recording consent, your firm's policies and your regulatory obligations still apply. The architecture page lists exactly what is stored and what can leave your Mac.

Keep each client's context separate in your workflow

  1. 1

Create a folder for each client or household

Give every relationship its own folder, and optionally a folder summary template so reviews and planning sessions are written up the same way.

  2. 2

    Use clear meeting titles

Name meetings with the client and meeting type, so the right conversation is easy to spot in search results.

  3. 3

Check the scope before you ask

Filter search by folder, or select that client's meetings and chat about just those. The chat shows which meetings are included before you ask a question.

  4. 4

    Open the original passage

Chat answers cite timestamped transcript passages. Check the source before copying a goal, figure or decision into your CRM or a client follow-up.

Notes, not a compliance archive

Summit is a note-taking tool. It is not a books-and-records system, communications archive or supervision tool, and using it does not by itself meet SEC, FINRA, MiFID or other recordkeeping requirements. Check your firm's recordkeeping and supervision rules before recording client meetings, and decide where any notes you keep as official records should live.

Summaries are a starting point, not a guarantee that every detail was captured. Use the original transcript to check amounts, dates and commitments.

Why finance professionals choose Summit

Start from a draft

Summit drafts a summary with key points and action items after each recording, so your meeting notes start from a draft instead of a blank page.

No meeting bot

Summit records from your Mac instead of joining the call as a participant, for video calls and in-person meetings alike.

Consistent meeting write-ups

Summary templates shape notes for annual reviews, discovery meetings and planning sessions.

Recall with sources

Search past meetings for a client's goals, concerns or earlier decisions, and follow chat citations back to the passage in the transcript.

Who it's for

Financial advisors & wealth managers

Take notes from discovery meetings, quarterly reviews and planning sessions, then find what a client said about goals or concerns before the next review.

Investment analysts

Keep notes from management calls, investor briefings and research discussions, and search them when you revisit a thesis.

Financial planners

Record intake sessions and draft summaries of goals and circumstances, then check the transcript before building the plan.

Private bankers

Keep a folder for each relationship so earlier discussions about lending, estate planning or investments are easy to find.
